Matthijs van Nieuwkerk

Matthijs joined JSV Nieuwegein at the age of 15, and this became a very successful move. With his team, he became league champions two times in a row and got promoted the 3rd year. Right now Matthijs plays for the U23 squad in the 4th division. Recently he has been playing with the 1st Men's Team as well. 

Matthijs is looking for a university where he can develop both on and off the pitch. Coaches can expect Matthijs to be disciplined and passionate, he always gives 100% and will do as told. Matthijs is excellent with his feet and can play a big role in the build-up. He also has a terrific and accurate long ball and excels in 1v1's and diving.

Matthijs went to Cals College Nieuwegein for his High School and graduated with his HAVO degree in the Spring of 2019. Currently, he is enrolled in the Bachelor of Real Estate and Brokerage. 

Matthijs can be described as social, mannered, and friendly off the pitch. On the pitch, he is calm, driven, fanatic, and disciplined.
