Jesse has been a loyal player for his club Fortuna Wormerveer even while he received an invitation from professional club SC Heerenveen. At Fortuna Wormerveer he was team captain and led his team to three championships. Next to his club duties, he was also part of the JPN-team. JPN is an initiative of the KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Federation) that selects the most talented players in the area. Jesse also received an award for "best player" at the Douwe Boomsma tournament. Jesse is a player that always gives 100%, he loves to get into 1v1s. When he plays in the midfield he lifts the team with his drive and power. He has vision and provides the forwards with through balls. He always does what's best for the team and will go that extra mile for his teammates. Jesse has a calm character but will be very present on the pitch with his leadership and coaching skills. He doesn't let anyone get in his head and will always be focused on the game. He is eager to learn and enjoys learning from his peers and coaches.
Academic career
Jesse is currently in his senior year of high school and is looking to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology. His stronger subjects are Dutch, English, German, history, and business economics. Postcollege Jesse is aiming for a job in sport psychology or clinical psychology while playing at a high level for as long as possible.
